The 2001 meeting

It's painful to change when the place is so nice and comfortable!
That's why we are meeting again at Castel San Pietro Terme for our 19th C.D.O. Convention.

We are very honoured to receive two welcome guests, whose creations are so elegant and delicate: Michael Lafosse from U.S.A., admirable and eclectic artist, who makes his own paper suitable for each of his models; Edwin Corrie, many of us already know him and his work, a mix of English talent, Swiss accuracy … and Italian heart!

Many foreign friends will visit us as always, specially from Japan.

This year we can enjoy all the proposed activities with less hurry then usual, as we have an extra day for us.
We will fold with Italian and foreign masters, we will speak about origami and Math, we will propose many workshop and many activities related to our theme: play and party.
A real party will take place on Saturday evening, the Fancy-Dress Party, of course origami:
we recommend you to start just now to prepare your own mask, fancy dress and accessories
to get the party more joyful and to join the fancy dress parade.

Continuing on games, this year besides the usual model exhibition, we would like to give a special space
to action and amazing models, those ones that make you smile and let you play with.
So bring with you at least one of these models, either already known and/or original one.

Your unpublished creations will take part in a contest.
Don't forget to bring with you the diagrams too, to be able to teach the model you chose to the other friends.
As usual there will be the bookstore with new publications and lot of paper.
